our year in review 2025
What a year of growth, friendship, and community! We are feeling more and more at home here in Baguio and grateful for the ways we have experienced Beloved Community here in the Philippines.
Mountain Life
We are enjoying life in the northern mountains of the Philippines. Half of the year, we experience nearly constant rain and typhoons, but we love the spring when we get to explore more of our beautiful mountain home.
Favorite Moments
Some of our favorite moments included starting the year back in China for the first time since Covid, to reconnect with friends there! Starting our English class for mainland Chinese community here in Baguio. And a family vacation to Penang, Malaysia (our Covid home).

Brittany & Casey
We celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary. We are exploring new tasks, like teaching English together. Brittany has especially enjoyed reading and tapping into her creative side, learning how to make mandalas. Casey enjoys sitting on our patio, working on his computer, solving computer things that Brittany doesn’t understand.
Juniper
This year, Juniper has enjoyed her friends and classes at Brent School. She is thriving in the fourth grade and especially loves math and reading. We cannot keep track of all the books she has read this year, but it is definitely more than mom and dad!
Finnley
Finnley has grown so much this year! He is officially in Kindergarten and loves math and coloring at school. He loves helping in the kitchen and is a great chef. His favorite thing this year was spending time at the beach, playing in the sand. He and his dad could walk looking for seashells for hours!
Thankful
This summer, we came back to the US and enjoyed our favorite restaurant. Chuy’s! We had a fun family photo shoot with all of our favorite foods! The best part of our trip was visiting family and friends. It was so good to reconnect with so many who have supported us and prayed for us. We are thankful for all that God has done in our lives this year!
Beloved Community
We have a lot to look forward to in 2026!
This year, we will host our CBF Asia Team here in Baguio. Our team is like family, so we are looking forward to sharing time together in our new home! We are also excited for all that God has in store for our English class! It has been such a special time building relationships with our new friends.
